the internet stole my childhood

well i don’t think the Internet stole my childhood so i disagree with this heading.
i only got the Internet when i was 13 and i’m only 14 so it didn’t steal my childhood.
and i only use the Internet 2 times a week at home so i COMPLETELY disagree with the heading.

athletics day

4th september was distric athletics day. i was in 5 events, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m and 100m relay. i got 4th in 400m, 5th in 800m, 6th in 200m, 8th in 1500m and last in relay. in the relay was alison at the starting line, dimond at 1st change over, me at second change over, and emily crocker at 3rd change over. we were coming 3rd but emily wasn’t as fast as the other teams. doesn’t matter though. watching the hurdles was the best. almost everyone fell over. it was funny. a few hurdles broke. ha ha. um in this one race there was 2 girls and they both fell after each other. i watched alison do her shot put, she can throw really far!! well done alison. we watched ben do his sprints, he ran really fast and so did alison. our school came last over all, but i think it’s a tradition now. when ever croydon won we’d scream really loud. um i got a 4th place ribbon. the end. 

Just Perfect

You know when you get a great group of friends and you think you could never be happier? Then your dad shows up. You haven’t seen your dad for 13 years and he shows up on your 14th birthday. It’s always been you and your mum on your own, flying solo together and all a sudden he wants to part of your life like nothing has happened. You see my dad left us when i was born, to much for him to handle, which left my mum to raise me the way she wanted to all on her own. It’s been great i get straight A’s in everything and go to top levels in sport, what more can you ask for? I didn’t need anything else. My life was perfect. But my dad thought i needed one more thing, him. I was sitting on the couch watching birthday videos, it’s a tradition in our house. Each birthday we watch all the taps from age one to 14 this year, i just sitting laughing at my 6th birthday party when there was a knock at the door, i got up to answer it, i asked if i could help this man and he said “you’ve grown so much! I’ve missed you!!” mum! I called she came to the door and screamed and slammed the door. Mum who was that? She answered that was your father Michelle. He kept appearing at our door step for 2 months until we decided to do something about it. We invited him in. mum was very concerned because one of the reasons he left because he was doped up so much. We sat on the couch facing him and it was half an hour before anyone said a word. “I’ve missed you” he said.” happy birthday” and he handed me a gift, i gave him a weak smile and opened it up afraid it would be something bad which would cause a fight. No, it was a lovely bandana pink and white swirl. She smiled “thankyou i said i love it. And she didn’t think it was possible to have a smile so big that spread across him face at that moment. he said” it’s from
Africa, i was there last week” “you didn’t steal it did you Tom?” my mum asked. “Of course not! It was for Michelle, i wouldn’t steal for Michelle, that would be wrong” my mum had a surprised look on her face. My dad asked “what is the time Michelle?” she looked at my brand new watch from
New York “it’s 5:25” oh no! I was late for soccer practice! “I’m sorry i have to go um,, d,da, dad, I’m late for soccer practice” and he got up and left without a goodbye. Each Sunday he would come and talk about one of the countries that he’d been to and bring a gift. Books to pieces of fruit. Until one day he turned up with I rifle. My mum screamed and he tried to grab Michelle but she bit him, then he ran out of the house and she didn’t see him for 5 months. The only reason she was seeing him was because it was court day. The reason why he’d come back was because when he saw how the other children were copping in other countries without a family member, and he was so happy to be able to spend time with me he didn’t know what to do to celebrate but do something he loved, taking drugs. Through the months of court trials Michelle realised her dad isn’t a horrible man, he’s just misunderstood, so she fought for him, got him the help he needed and she now have the best relationship with her dad.

In my novel, the main character’s full name is Josh Michael Swish

He is 5.4 foot tall and has light brown eyes.

How old are they? I am 15 years oldWhere were they born? Knox hospital,

MelbourneAre they fat/skinny/muscular? Josh has a fine build, with not much muscles because his little sister of 2 can take him down, what does that say? What sort of hair do they have? Short, blonde hair. Sometimes messy when he’s running late to school.What do they spend most of their time doing? (If they have to go to school or work – do they like it? Why or why not?) 5 days a week I’m at school in an excelled program, and I work 3 nights a week at Crispy Cream.What would they rather be doing with their time? Since being in the excelled program Adam has had a sudden interest in skate boards. Normally he’d be at home on the play station or typing on the computer. What would be their dream occupation? When Josh was young he wanted to work on playschool, but once he got to school he wanted to be a dozen different things, but now he’s got his heart set on a chef. What do they enjoy doing more than anything else? Josh enjoys reading and using electronics and skate boarding. What scares them more than anything else? Spiders, especially the money spiders, he’s scared he will squish one and will go broke. What else is interesting about your character? Josh isn’t the slightest bit selfish, he put family first to everything, such as he was to compete in a year 9 maths competition, instead he went to help his nana with the grocery shopping.2) IN A SEPARATE PARAGRAPH, WRITE WHETHER YOU THINK THE READER SHOULD LIKE OR DISLIKE YOUR CHARACTER. Definitely like him straight away, he is every mother’s dream. He is often invited back to their home by the grandma’s at the shopping centre. He would be a man’s best friend to many, and wouldn’t hurt a fly. I think you’d like him straights away? 

3) HOW WILL YOUR CHARACTER CHANGE THROUGHOUT THE STORY?

At the start Josh is very involved in the community and school, through out the story he realises there’s more to life than working for other’s and encouraged by and elderly grandpa to do something for himself, get out more for himself, get involved in an activity for himself, 2 days later the old man died and Josh made it a priority to please the old man.

Eric Struthers.

Eric Struthers was born on the 1st of October 1924. He did have one brother who died a while back. He also had two daughters’ Julie and Glenis. After his first wife pasted away he got married to Aunty Kath. One of the houses i remember the most was rosebud. If it was a nice day my brother and i would collect the big leaves and have leaf flights, and Uncle Eric would laugh at us. Most times we went to visit Uncle Eric we went to Uncle Eric’s restaurant. Which was actually the local R.S.L, some strong memories that i have of Uncle Eric was he loved butter!! One time he used so much butter he used 1/4 of the container. Another memory i have of him is what he called Aunty Kath, Darl. Uncle Eric always wanted to know how his boys were. It didn’t matter which boys, he just wanted to know how they were. Another memories was his cheeky smile, if we caught him putting an extra lolly in his mouth, and we said “we saw that” he’d always have this cheeky grin on his face. It was sad when he had to move to the place were he spent his last couple of hours. i wanted to go visit him except i was afraid he wouldn’t know who i am. Eric Struthers died on 25th of august 2006 at 2:45pm. Good bye Uncle Eric. I love you.♥♥♥

i forgot to tell you about band tour

yes well we went for 10 days had fun and didn’t get sunburnt. the end

only kidding, well basicly i had fun. we played at nursing homes, primary schools,shops, highschools and markets. we did alot of shopping. i bought stuff like food and clothes and post cards and gift for people but not you, unless your family. um yer bye!!

the best thing that happened to me this week.

i don’t know, Monday i was at band and i got annoyed at Ben berry because he doesn’t want to be first trumpet any more so i had to go up to first trumpet and play really high notes that hurt my ears. then i went to my dads and he told me he had a stroke 2 months ago that’s why i didn’t see him for that long he told me he had the flu!!!! ***** Tuesday i had dancing and i stayed for both classes 4 hours!!!! but i socialised for most of the second class. i got home at 11pm. Wednesday i had tennis and then Chinese food with family. no t.v that night. Thursday i had homework and i played basketball and rode my bike and kicked a football with Chris ( my friend from officer ) no t.v because Beth my next door neighbour came over. tonight i have to get my legs tanned for this weekend because it’s the state championships and i look like a ghost on stage so yer, then i have tennis comp maybe depends on how i feel then i go with my dad on saturday we’re going shopping for his birthday and visiting reallies joy! Sunday it’s my state championships so i have no time to watch t.v and i’m not a morning person so i definitely don’t have time for t.v in the morning. jessica♥♥

fox in first person

magpie

i was rescued by a strange dog when i was in a fire. i think i must of been taken back to dogs place beacuse when i woke up i didn't know where i was.for the next 3 or so weeks i regained my strenght with this dog who seemed to really care about me and we grew fond of each other.

fox:understanding the story.

1-magpie has a burnt wing,because of a local fire.

2-"i am blind in one eye but life is still good"

3-"that is us" dog said. magpie sits on dogs shoulders. magpie is dog's missimg eye and dog is magpies missing wing.

4-dog earn's magpies trust by talkingin a gentle carm voice and waiting for magpie to come to him. over time dog and magpie develope a strong relationship.

5-through the charred forest,over hot ash,runs dog.

6-magpies reaction to fox,shows she is uncertain of her suroundings.

7-the cave smels of fox and rage,envy and lonliess

8-dog is a gentle creature,who dosen't need much convincing to trust somone.

9-"haunted" by saying fox's eyes were haunted  sounds more interesting than "dead" eyes

10-he has a rich red coat so that might have something to do with his haunted looking eyes.

11-fox persuades magpie to go with him by saying "whats it really like to fly,really fly??" magpie realises it's nothing like flying sitting on dogs back

12- fox has grown to like magpie and is jelous because dog and magpie have a good realtionship
